What if the insurance company denies my claim?

Just because you’ve been hurt in an accident doesn’t mean you have a claim for damages or medical expenses. Here are some reasons why a liability insurer might deny your claim:

– You waited too long to make a claim

– The accident was your fault

– There isn’t any insurance coverage

– Your injury isn’t related to the accident

Here’s the truth, though: Just because an insurance company has denied your claim, or made you a low offer to settle, doesn’t mean that’s the end of the line. Sometimes the insurer is right, but sometimes they’re wrong. An insurance company is more likely to take the side of the person or company that they insure than someone they don’t. They’re always on the lookout for a way to deny the claim or pay less. Sometimes they make mistakes, sometimes they even deny claims that they should obviously pay.
